The Rathenau Instituut asked me to design and illustrate a book about social uncertainties. Twelve interviews with different people who have to deal with issues concerning social uncertainties are included. I decided to map the vocabulary these interviewees used, highlighting the words which are difficult to give a fixed meaning to. Words like 'soon', 'far', 'dangerous' etc. These vocabulary maps lead to the illustrations and statistics. |
